"The most important golf book ever written." That's the verdict from course architect and commentator Mike Clayton about Dr Alister Mackenzie's 1934 book The Spirit of St Andrews and in this monster episode of the iSeekGolf Book Club he makes some compelling arguments as to why. MacKenzie is one of the most revered and influential figures in the game's history and this offering is at least as relevant today as when it was written 75 years ago. Clayton is compelling and convincing in his assessments of the book and, as always, offers some extraordinary insights into all aspects of the game along the way. This might be the best iSeekGolf Book Club yet and while it's long, it's worth every moment of your time to listen.
